BP on How NOT to Design a User Interface at a Gas Pump.

Every now and then you have to stop and wonder if things were ever tested. In my home town there is a BP station that recently installed all new, sleek looking gas pumps. Soon after the following signs were posted to help explain how to use the buttons…

UI_FAIL

For those of you who need an explanation of what the sign is explaining about the keypad that should be self-explanatory, some idiot created labels that are actually buttons. This is probably the same person that worked out the math to make sure you are being charged the right amount per gallon. It probably makes perfect sense to him, but is lost on the general population to the point that crude laminated signs had to be created for every pump.

By the way, 2 for $1 hot dog deal is a pretty good. They have the hot dogs with the cheese in the middle. Here is a map if you want to see this UI abomination for yourself and grab a few dogs.
